Coffee First, Then the World: An Intro to My Travel Life

I’ve always been curious about places - how they move, how they smell in the morning, what the coffee tastes like, and how it feels to walk their streets as if you belong there. Travel, for me isn’t just about ticking off lists. It’s about finding small moments of connection: with a city, a café, a stranger, or just myself.

I’m one of the many Aussies currently living in London, doing my classic stint abroad. Who knows how long I’ll stay? Right now, I’m soaking up every long weekend, train deal, and easyJet flight I can get my hands on.

I’m not a full-time traveller. I work full-time, and I travel when I can - slowly, intentionally, and usually with a book in my bag and a pastry in hand.

This blog is a place for:

  • Honest travel stories that capture how a place feels

  • Comfort-conscious but budget-aware travel (think charm over luxury)

  • Bookshops, bakeries, and mornings that start slow

  • The joy of discovering places that feel like home - even if only for a weekend

I don’t believe in reinventing myself every time I go somewhere new. I just believe that travel has a way of deepening who you already are. So, this blog is just me - curious, caffeinated, and occasionally lost - writing it all down as I go.

I’m so glad you’re here.

Let’s explore.
